Good morning Artists,
I’ve got something special for you today.
So many of us are looking for ways to let go of limiting beliefs and step into an evolved version of ourselves.
We read books and listen to podcast to help us change our lives.
We are constantly looking for new activities that will help us become our highest selves.
We go to new events and sign up for courses that will introduce us to new teachings.
But there is a step before any of this that is often missed.
And I believe this is why so many of us often revert back to old habits.
The starting point and the foundation for our growth potential is our beliefs.
Our beliefs are the building blocks of our lives. They shape and touch every aspect of our existence.
→ Our beliefs shape our identities.
→ Our identities shape our actions.
→ Our actions shape our entire lives.
In today’s 12 minute audio experience, we will go all the way to the root and explore how our fundamental beliefs shape our lives.
After listening to the audio, come back for the new journaling playlist and prompt below.
Big love,
D

This Week’s Journaling Prompt
Start your own “I Believe” list. Next to each belief, ask yourself questions like:
Does this belief serve me?
Does this belief empower me?
Am I stronger with this belief in my life?
Do I need to update this belief with the wisdom I have today?
Give yourself a chance to focus on beliefs that are aligned with your purpose and your soul.
Here’s mine:
I believe we are all souls having a human experience, and I believe our souls chose to come here at this time, in these human bodies to create and explore. Creativity and existence go hand and hand. We are here to CREATE!
I believe everyone is God and that at the core we are all one.
I believe joy is an essential part of life. We are here to experience as much joy as possible.
I believe joy > happiness. Joy is simple and accessible at any moment. Happiness is more complex. Joy belongs to the heart and happiness is a construct of the mind.
I believe every life is worth documenting and celebrating. Not for followers, or social media, but for us and our families to look back and find gratitude and joy.
I believe we are stronger together. I believe community is essential for human health and growth.
I believe comparison robs us of our joy and should be avoided 95% of the time. There are small windows (5% of the time) were comparison can be helpful. Sometimes we do need a wake up call to get us to move. But regular, daily comparison is mostly destructive.
I believe I am always guided. God and Universe are always here loving me, supporting me, teaching me and laughing with me. Even in the darkest times, it’s all happening for me, for my highest good.
I believe perfection is a myth. There is no such thing as perfect it’s never existed and the pursuit of it will both still your joy and burn you the fuck out. When I start chasing this mythical creature I remind myself, “No one wants me to be perfect; they don’t trust perfect. What they really want is for me to be REAL!” Real is better than perfect.
I believe all of our feeling matter and have value. They are all buckets of paint, each a different colour. And we are the cosmic artists who get to create things with these emotions. What super important to remember is WE ARE NOT THE PAINT, we are the PAINTERS. You are NOT your emotions or feelings. Don’t take false ownership over them or they will bankrupt you.
I believe that in the end, we all get a standing ovation. The whole thing is one big show and we’ve forgotten we’re in this grand performance… Until the last moment when the curtains go up, and the whole cast comes out—including ourselves—and the crowd roars with celebration. Even the “villains” of the show were our friends and co-creators. This helps me find love and compassion for everyone and also put less pressure on myself. I already know the outcome.
I believe all beliefs are made up. None of them are objectively true. And that’s totally fine. All beliefs are made up AND all beliefs are true if you put enough energy behind them. So make sure you choose and design the BEST possible (made-up) beliefs for your life: beliefs that will support you throughout your life and lift you up, not believes that will sink you.
For believe #2
I believe we are part of God which is collective consciousness. When we meditate we enter into Alpha sphere and get in touch with God or collective consciousness. That helps us with our self esteem that always we are protected.
As ever, resounding TRUTH pouring through the vessel that is you, and generously offered in such clean and clear way. I believe :)
