Creativity.
She is the most important relationship in my life, because She is the greatest access I have to my heart, to my voice and to God.
Our relationship hasn’t always been solid. There were years where She and I barely spoke. There were also years where I felt angry with Her and even resented Her.
But we found our way back to love. A beautiful, expansive and liberating love.
It took a lot of work to get here.
And just like any deep and meaningful long-term relationship, it takes continual effort to maintain the relationship and ensure it is aligned and fulfilling to both of us.
Relationship Milestones
Together, Creativity and I have birthed many creations that have impacted millions of people:
Over 1,000,000 photos that have been viewed over 100 million times
Over 1,000 videos that have gone viral dozens of times
Over 100 meditations with over 30k global meditators every month
I am grateful for all of our creations, but most of all, I am grateful for Her love, for Her consistency in my life, and for Her continual belief in me and in us.
Introducing: Dating Creativity
My goal this year was to share more of my gifts with the world.
And I can finally see that one of my greatest gifts is my love story with Creativity. Because I believe the love She and I share is available to everyone.
I believe our souls chose to come to this planet, at this time, in these bodies to experience, explore and EXPRESS to their fullest abilities. And I believe that a loving relationship with Creativity is the best way to achieve our Soul’s mission.
So if you would like to deepen your relationship with Creativity, I’d love to help.
In this new weekly series, Dating Creativity, I will share bite-sized love and intimacy tips to help you slowly but steadily build a deep and nourishing relationship with Creativity.
This is great for anyone who wants to spark up more romance with Creativity—or even for people who are building the confidence to go on their first date.
The weekly format will be:
A chapter of my love story with Creativity
A bite-sized love lesson video
A fun “date idea” for you and Creativity
Journal prompts (and a journaling playlist for background music)
An Artist Morning meditation related to Creativity and Love
Thanks for saying yes to love and for joining me on this journey.
Big love,
D
This Week’s Video Lesson:
This Week’s Date Idea:
Go on a walk this week (ideally by yourself) and think about the following questions:
Where is my current relationship with Creativity? Are you dating? Are you married? Have you stopped talking to each other for a while? Etc.
Am I open to developing my relationship with Creativity? If so, what would that look and feel like?
This Week’s Journal Prompt:
When in your life did you feel most connected to Creativity? Explore this period in your life: How old were you? Who were your friends? How were you spending your time?
When in your life did you feel least connected to Creativity? Explore this period in your life: How old were you? Who were your friends? How were you spending your time?
Is there something inside your heart you want to express? Give yourself a moment to write down whatever comes up. If it feels too private or personal, try promising yourself that you’ll rip out the page or delete the text when you’re done.
I am currently in a rediscovery phase with creativity. I think we have lived together in the same house for a long time and we create together but we don’t know how to play.
There is a way that this relationship has served me and guided me through many projects and self expression but I always felt like I had to control something and that we were on a timeline and “had to do something”… I can feel the way I pressured her to be something for me instead of letting her be.
I am ready to be in a space where I can just be with her, no expectation or demand, just be curious and allow.
Thank you Darius for this series, I am so glad you are channeling this gift for us and I look forward to this journey.
How could you have known that I am, recently, attempting to heal my relationship with creativity? You are a answer to my requests of Spirit. I look forward to learning from you, Darius. Thank you for this.
