The true story of my 2017 spiritual awakening

Dear Artist,

In 2017, I had a massive spiritual awakening.

The catalyst was when my beloved Aunt Shahla was diagnosed with cancer that summer. I became obsessed with the idea that each one of us will have a last breath.

I accidentally discovered the Last Breath Meditation, which I shared with you all last week. This practice of imagining my final moment on Earth gave me incredible focus and drive. It pushed me to write, to take photos, and to express myself fully, and my creative output exploded exponentially.

But just a few weeks later, the universe sent me another profound awakening. This one forever changed how I relate to my body, my appearance, my voice; it felt like a master class in self-love. In an instant, it also connected me with my soul’s mate.

That’s what I’ll be sharing with you today.

Heads up, today’s MediClass is intense.

Since last week’s MediClass on the Last Breath Meditation, I’ve received feedback from some of you. I’ve heard it was deep, intense, and deeply appreciated. And…

Sharing these more intense parts of my journey with our community is a real edge for me. There’s always that fear—it might be too much. I might be judged for the intensity.

And maybe there’s some truth to the fear. But…

As I get older, I feel less able to hold back these most intimate and deepest parts of my heart. This story is the real truth of my journey, of how I’ve arrived where I am today.

My hope is that each of you will do an honest check-in with yourself and your current capacity to engage with deeper, more intense, and potentially triggering subjects like death and last breaths.

There were many versions of myself that couldn’t have handled these subjects. So, I have deep compassion for anyone who may choose to skip this week’s MediClass, or come back to it when you feel more ready.

Lastly, it’s my deepest intention to serve this community—to be of service to you and your journey. Your comments, feedback, and replies truly help me gain perspective and fuel my creativity for future MediClasses. So please, keep the conversation going.
