Way to be brave and share the hard stuff. You are not alone in this. Thanks for sharing these ideas, they helped me to consider a different perspective for myself. Grateful, D. <3
Thanks for being such a kind and safe space. You make it easier to be myself Julie and that means so much to me. You are a wonderful friend and I am so grateful the Universe has brought you into my life and into the Artist Morning community.
This share really hit home for me. How can we move away from thinking, feeling and in turn acting like our self worth is directly linked to how much we give. Weather that be money, time or energy. Because we give to the point of depletion we end up giving from an empty cup. The feeling of unworthyness and guilt then trickle in because we feel like we are not giving our 100% when really we are just spent. Exhausted. And the cycle continues. Knowing our worth deep in our soul before sharing anything with the world is key but so hard to obtain. I’m gonna repeat all day today « I am worth it no matter how much of myself I give »
How brave of you Darius. Its easy to project that if someone is giving they have taken care of their needs. No one knows unless you share. I see the ones who give the most are often more compelled by a ‘we’ culture from deep compassion, than self. I wish for our systems to evolve to recognize and value different roles and currencies in our society. I see you challenging this the old model and yet I would love to know that you give only from an overflowing cup. 🌈🫶🏼
I could feel parts in me wincing in recognition with my own shame - joyfully giving and frying myself, getting self worth from others gratitude. It’s also true that love, creativity, sharing and connections are what make my life rich.
A wise person supporting me on this same theme yesterday said to me I should never give more than 50% of my energy. That 50% is all for me.
I am immensely grateful for what you share. In French they have the verb ‘profiter’ which is to really enjoy life!
I feel this ... thank you for your vulnerability <3 I've done a lot of work on my own money stories ... and the work continues! I actually messaged you on FB ... I was looking to do a few free sessions as I'm bringing together a lot of different areas of my life and my own healing ... if you wanted to do an Akashic Records session on your relationship to money and work and worth and value we could totally set that up ... just message me ...
