Thank you for saying what is so important to say, in such an eloquent way. as I grow and become aware, let go and move forward, I feel the need to break up with certain media, too. ❤️

Life is too short to spend quality time with people or platforms that are no longer aligned with our highest selves. Thanks for your kind words Cynthia.

It was a fun one to write. Also, it started off way darker and more intense. Thanks to the wonderful Sal Talon for bringing it back to a more relatable place.

I feel you, Darius. I often feel like a lost soul on Instagram. I'm so happy you found a new home to express yourself and be acknowledged in a way your talents deserve. ❤️

That’s is so nice to hear. Not sure if I am ready today to sign the “divorce papers”. But closer than ever before.

This is beautiful, clever and insightful D - perhaps even a reflection of a cultural turning point. It's also a reminder to each of us (me) that we (I) get to choose how to connect, how to create, and where to find peace.

Ooh, I think I may be joining you here. I too, mourn the old instagram. I made so many great connections there back in the day! This gives me hope that I'll be able to figure out substack and make it into what I need it to be.

Love how you’re taking the time to pause and be aware of everything it has brought you and doesn’t bring you anymore. Two months ago I said goodbye to Insta as well but did it the cold turkey way, leaving me in doubt sometimes as I miss connecting to some people as well. Especially when they’re sharing events I would have liked to join and now I don’t even know of like retreats or breathing circles and so on… It had it’s good parts for sure! But on the other hand I’m so happy I’m not scrolling anymore!

Thank you for sharing your very aware and honest point of view! ♥️
